Immunoengineering and Bioengineering Institute

The Immunoengineering and Bioengineering Institute applies engineering principles to the immune system, seeking not only to understand how it works, but also to direct how it responds. 

We build the molecules, cells, materials, devices, and computational tools that enable the immune system to eliminate a tumor, prevent an infection, tolerate an allergen, or halt an autoimmune attack. We think as immunologists and engineers at once.

Chicago Quantum Institute

The Chicago Quantum Institute brings together a world-class group of scientists and engineers who are leading the quantum revolution, drawing from experts in physics, chemistry, computer science, and partners such as Argonne National Laboratory.

Its research aims to advance quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing, and it anchors one of the nation’s first doctoral programs in quantum science and engineering.
