Clarivate’s 2022 Highly Cited Researchers includes nine PME faculty

Clarivate’s 2022 list of the world's most highly cited researchers, released today, includes nine faculty from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME).

The 2022 Highly Cited Researchers list identifies researchers who have demonstrated exceptional influence in their field or fields through the publication of multiple papers frequently cited by their peers. The list is drawn from papers that rank in the top one percent by citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science citation index over the past decade.

The list includes:

Paul Alivisatos, President of the University of Chicago; John D. MacArthur Distinguished Service Professor in the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, the Department of Chemistry, and the College

David Awschalom, Liew Family Professor of Molecular Engineering, University of Chicago; Senior Scientist, Argonne; Director, Chicago Quantum Exchange

Hannes Bernien, Assistant Professor of Molecular Engineering

Andrew Cleland, John A. MacLean Sr. Professor of Molecular Engineering Innovation and Enterprise; Director, Pritzker Nanofabrication Facility

Po-Chun Hsu, Assistant Professor of Molecular Engineering

Liang Jiang, Professor of Molecular Engineering

Shirley Meng, Professor of Molecular Engineering and chief scientist for the Argonne Collaborative Center for Energy Storage Science

Jiwoong Park, Professor of Molecular Engineering

Sihong Wang, Assistant Professor of Molecular Engineering

The Highly Cited Researchers 2022 list uses both quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify individuals from across the globe who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their chosen field or fields of research. Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers™ are 1 in 1,000.
