One way the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering engages the community in our research is by participating in numerous public events in which we delve into the emerging field of molecular engineering with the public and inspire the exploration of STEM careers.

South Side Science Festival
The South Side Science Festival is an annual event that brings the South Side and UChicago communities together for a day of fun outdoor science exploration, inspiring exchanges with faculty and student researchers, live experiments and demonstrations, food, music, and more. Each year, festival goers can try dozens of hands-on science activities, learn from experts in the Science in Your Life panels, test their science knowledge and engineering skills in trivia games and design challenges, and cheer as scientists are challenged to share their work in fun ways in the Science Slam and Upgoer 5 competitions. PME STEM Showcase @ the Museum of Science and Industry
