Travis grew up in San Diego, California and got his B.S. and M.S. degree in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 2021. Travis's master's research and thesis ("Synthesis and Utility of Star Polymers by ATRP") was conducted in Dr. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski's lab. Before starting his graduate degree, Travis worked as an R&D Scientist I/II at Becton Dickinson (BD) in San Diego, CA developing novel macromolecular flow cytometry dyes. In his free time, Travis enjoys cooking or being outside climbing or surfing.
