Amy is an undergraduate researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in bioengineering and chemistry materials science. In her free time, she enjoys doing graphic design, visiting national parks, and taking care of her aquatic snails.
Amy's research focuses on cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) composite materials. The long-term goal is to create shape memory polymer composites reinforced by CNCs that are capable of changing thermal conductivity properties upon the application of an external force.
