As the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (UChicago PME) looks forward to a new year of innovative research and impactful discoveries, we also celebrate some of the most compelling moments of 2024 captured in images.
In 2024, UChicago PME was part of momentous research advancements across its interdisciplinary fields. The school was also involved in historic investments in research, industry, and impact in the Chicagoland area, including Great Lakes ReNEW, a 10‑year, $160 million program that aims to develop new technologies for wastewater recycling and cleanup; and the announcement of a new DARPA-Illinois Quantum Proving Ground, based at Illinois' soon-to-be-built quantum campus. A new Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth of which UChicago PME is a part, will balance the urgency of climate action with society’s need for sustainable growth.
