Jonathan joined the Awschalom Group in 2017 after graduating from Cornell University, where he worked in the Fuchs Group, and is a 2019 recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. He is interested in magnetic quantum systems, specifically interfacing NV center spin qubits in diamond with magnetic materials and structures. He works on both magnon sensing and magnon-mediated NV control experiments at room and cryogenic temperatures. Outside of ERC, he enjoys baking sourdough bread and biking to work along the Chicago Lakefront Trail.
