In the development and application of advanced AI methods, PME researchers collaborate with colleagues at the University of Chicago, at Argonne National Laboratory, and at more than twenty other research institutions – both domestic and overseas. In addition, we actively partner with members of industry.
Examples of current collaborations and initiatives based around UChicago PME's AI goals include
AI-guided design-build-test-learn loops and/or autonomous discovery (“self-driving labs”)
- Manufacturing ADvanced Electronics through Printing Using Bio-based and Locally Identifiable Compounds (MADE-PUBLIC)
AI for molecular materials and systems understanding, discovery, and design
- Researchers boost vaccines and immunotherapies with machine learning to drive more effective treatments
- NRT-HDR: AI-enabled Molecular Engineering of Materials and Systems (AIMEMS) for Sustainability
- Diagnostic test combines two technologies with machine learning
- Machine learning techniques to discover new materials for hydrogen energy
