Hyeong Min Jin received his bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering in 2011 from the Yonsei University in Korea. He received his PhD degree in materials science and engineering in 2017 from KAIST in Korea under the supervision of Professor Sang Ouk Kim. His PhD work mainly focused on directed molecular self-assembly by photo-thermal effect and practical applications for block copolymer lithography. He joined PME at the University of Chicago in March 2018 as a CHiMaD postdoctoral fellow and currently works under the supervision of Professor Paul Nealey.
Hyeong Min Jin’s current research focuses on development of quantitative soft x-ray probes of the three-dimensional structure of soft materials such as block copolymers and liquid crystalline systems.
