Yuqin comes from China, and gained her bachelor's degree in polymer materials and engineering at Zhejiang University in 2019. In 2018, she came to the University of Chicago for summer research, and joined the Nealey group as a visiting student from July to August. In winter 2020, Yuqin joined PME as a first-year PhD student, co-advised by Prof. Junhong Chen and Prof. Seth Darling.
Yuqin's current research is focused on designing molecular probes to selectively detect and remove specific contaminants (e.g. PFASs, heavy ion, etc.) from water.
