UChicago-Peking University Joint Forum: Addressing the Climate & Energy Challenge

In partnership with Peking University, the University of Chicago is hosting the public UChicago-PKU Joint Forum: Addressing the Climate & Energy Challenge as a series of virtual events starting on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Panel discussions between US and Chinese experts will discuss both countries’ vital roles in managing these challenges across fields, including diplomacy, finance, health, technology, and beyond. Our opening event on October 12 will be an exciting conversation between a fireside chat on climate democracy between Jonathan Pershing, former Deputy to the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, and Ji ZOU, former Deputy Director General of China’s National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation and moderated by Lisa Friedman of the New York Times.
