Programs & Pathways
PhD in Molecular Engineering
UChicago PME
The PhD in Molecular Engineering program at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering provides students with the opportunity to study with leading experts working in areas such as biotechnology, immunoengineering, advanced materials, energy storage, quantum engineering, and ensuring a clean global water supply.
Master of Engineering
UChicago PME
The Master of Engineering (MEng) program at UChicago’s Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (UChicago PME) is designed to accelerate your career as an engineer and prepare you for leadership positions in entrepreneurship and established industries. Students take technical courses specific to an area of interest, but every student shares a series of professional development courses with the entire MEng cohort.
Major and Minor in Molecular Engineering
The College
The BS degree in Molecular Engineering offers undergraduates a cutting-edge engineering curriculum built on a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Courses in the major are designed to develop quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills; to introduce engineering analysis of biological, chemical, and physical systems; and to address open-ended technological questions across a spectrum of disciplines. Molecular Engineering majors can opt to take the Quantum Engineering Track.
