Soft Matter Characterization Facility

The Soft Matter Characterization Facility (SMCF) is a core user facility of the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering in the William Eckhardt Research Center.

The SMCF maintains a suite of specialized instrumentation dedicated to studying the structure, properties, and dynamics of soft materials from liquids to macromolecules to biological materials.

We are open to both internal and external users of all disciplines and provide research support to users with a wide range of experience, from novices to experts. We also perform lab contract services for internal and external clients.

Please contact the technical manager, Philip Griffin, to learn more about the facility and to start the training process.
