PME and Polsky are collaborating on a 3-part Innovation seminar series during spring quarter, open to PME master's students, PhD students, and postdocs.

Part 2 - Navigating Patents Landscape for Research With over 150 million documents, around 70% of technical literature are available in patents. However, it’s usage especially in research, is limited. There are ample examples where a product is developed or research is completed only to realize that the problem was already solved elsewhere, and there is a patent for it! In this session, we will look from the lens of competitive analysis and how it can be used to understand the applicability of your research. We will also look at workflow for automation with LLM tools such as Chat GPT.

Lunch is provided, so registration is required by April 21:
