PME Alumni Career Conversation: Ben Rawe (Scientist)

Ben Rawe joined the PME in 2018 in Stuart Rowan's group as a postdoctoral scholar, after completing his PhD in Chemistry at UBC Vancouver. In his time as a postdoc he worked on the polymerization of catenanes (interlocked rings) and also studied degradable polyolefins. After leaving the PME in 2022, he returned to Canada where he currently holds the position of Scientist (Chemistry) at NuChem Sciences in Montreal, Quebec. 

This contract research organization (CRO) works with pharmaceutical companies to achieve their research goals through preclinical drug discovery where Ben mainly works as an organic synthetic chemist.
