The Riesenfeld Group develops and uses machine learning approaches to investigate complex biological systems.

We leverage large-scale, system-wide, transcriptomic and multimodal data to identify the key cellular components, molecular circuitry, and dynamics underlying tissue-based immune responses. By combining experimental and computational analysis, the group aims to understand the factors underlying complex immune responses and predict how manipulations may alter them. Areas of focus include inflammatory immune responses, neuroimmune interactions, and solid tumor cancers.
