Shijie received a BS in pharmacy from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. He completed his PhD in bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle. He's currently a postdoctoral scholar coadvised by Dr. Jeffrey Hubbell and Dr. Cathryn Nagler at UChicago.
