Katharina Maisel

Katharina earned her BSE in materials science and engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010. She completed her PhD in biomedical engineering as an NSF graduate research fellow at Johns Hopkins University in 2014. Her doctoral research focused on the development of nanocarriers and their delivery vehicles for improving drug delivery to the gastrointestinal tract. Katharina was a postdoctoral fellow in the Swartz lab from 2015 to 2018. She is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland.
