Filip is a postdoc in the group of Liang Jiang working in the field of long-distance quantum communication. He is currently investigating one-way quantum repeater architectures based on quantum error correction. In contrast to two-way quantum repeaters based on generating and connecting elementary entangled pairs, such repeaters do not require two-way communication between all the repeater nodes, which can significantly increase the transmission rate.
