Event: Frontiers of Molecular Engineering

September 27 - September 28, 2018
All Day Event

Institute of Molecular Engineering (IME), University of Chicago, 5640 South Ellis Avenue, Chicago, 60637, United States

Join us in Chicago to discover how molecular engineering approaches are driving significant breakthroughs across a broad range of research disciplines and applications, from batteries to biotechnology, and learn of the key challenges for the future. Attendees will be exposed to the current state of the art across diverse areas of research, with an emphasis on the development of an interdisciplinary approach.

This two-day symposium is supported by Molecular Systems Design & Engineering, The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Institute for Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago.

The programme will feature invited speakers plus a poster session.

Topics will include:

  • Energy storage and conversion
  • Biotechnology
  • Computational material design
  • Capture and separations technologies
  • Assembly of soft and biological materials
  • Catalysis
  • Machine learning and data science in material design
