Description:
Rob Bruant has a rich career in a variety of roles for BP and Pioneer Natural Resources, including Strategy Manager, Subsurface Manager, Reservoir Engineer, and Petroleum Systems Analyst. Prior to B3 Insight, he also held positions of Instructor and Research Associate at Princeton University. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Produced Water Society, the Dallas Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and contributes as the Membership Chairperson for SPE’s Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration Technical Section. Rob is a licensed Professional Geoscientist, Professional Hydrologist, and Certified Petroleum Engineer. He has twenty years of high-impact energy industry and environmental leadership, leveraging unique cross-functional and cross-discipline science with engineering and business expertise to generate innovative performance improvement opportunities and sustainable value creation. He has had extensive experience developing and directing projects and staff related to oilfield characterization, water resource management, carbon emissions mitigation, environmental stewardship, data management, ESG accounting, and digital transformation. Rob holds a Ph.D. in Hydrology from the University of Arizona in 2009, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in 2019, and a B.A. in Geosciences from Franklin and Marshall College.
